Congratulations to Katherine and Joey
on the celebration of their marriage at the
Old Cathedral on October 21, 2022
Throughout the history of St. Louis, the Old Cathedral has always been a popular church for weddings. Since the inception of the parish, over 22,000 weddings have been performed at the Old Cathedral.
For all Old Cathedral wedding inquiries, please contact Tracy Marklein at
314-308-0091 or tracymarklein@archstl.org.
All parishioners and non-parishioners are welcome to be married at the Old Cathedral. Couples are asked to make an offering to cover the incidental expenses incurred by the Old Cathedral in the amount of $1,750. This is suggested as the minimum offering and is not intended to limit your generosity. This fee also includes a Old Cathedral wedding coordinator and secured parking with an attendant on the Old Cathedral lot.
Old Cathedral Wedding Guidelines
Once a date has been reserved, prospective couples will receive the Old Cathedral’s Wedding Guidelines detailing fees, flowers, photography, music, rehearsals and more. Please review the Wedding Guidelines and discuss floral plans, photography, music and rehearsal questions with the parish Wedding Coordinator before finalizing arrangements to ensure adherence with Old Cathedral's protocols.

Marriage Preparation Program
Marriage is a sacrament between a man and a woman so that they may grow in holiness and mutual dignity. Prospective couples should note that the Archdiocese of St. Louis requires the completion of a Marriage Preparation Program prior to the wedding. The program encourages discussion on issues that may not have been discussed during the couples’ courtship such as finances, raising children, chores, family backgrounds, conflict resolution, and gender roles.
The Marriage Preparation Program also supplies couples with proven strategies for weathering the tough times and for building a strong, lifelong marriage including the responsibilities and challenges that come with it.
